Disgustingly teased since December 2020, Air Jordan 9 "Chile Red" is finally slated for a February 25 release after multiple delays. New Jordan ,The ruby-toned retro sneaker was quickly compared to the December 2012 "Motorboat Jones" colorway, which was part of the Air Jordan "Kilroy Pack" collection. Compared to its "Challenge Red" predecessor, however, the "Chile Red" option boasts a more prominent upper with its scarlet hue, walking up to the midsole right above its patent leather chic. The outsole, lace loops and details throughout the heel convey the contrast of "black", a nod to the Chicago Bulls uniform color.

A "T" logo on the top of the tongue signifies the Air Force 1's inclusion in Nike's "Year of the Tiger" capsule, while design cues for the collar, lining and heel also contribute to the kids' shoe theme.
